Congratulations are in order for Kaizer Motaung

Sedibeng Ster Sport joins the millions of South Africans to congratulate Kaizer Chiefs Chairman, Kaizer Motaung after he was honoured by the University of Cape Town (UCT) at a graduation ceremony in Cape Town recently.

SEDIBENG.-  ’Chencha Guluva’, as Motaung was affectionately known in South African football during his playing days, was bestowed with a title of Dr in Social Science.

The university honoured Motatung for his contribution to football and social development in this country. As a player, Kaizer Motaung was prolific and played for Orlando Pirates before he went overseas. When he came back, he formed the club and named it Kaizer Chiefs. The club ruled South African football with the best players in the country and was known as cup specialists winning each and every cup/trophy at hand.
However, recently the club doesn’t enjoy the success that it was used to the past by dominating the domestic football.

The club had great players such as Zacharia ‘Computer’ Lamola, Patrick ‘Ace’ Ntsoelengoe, Nelson ‘Teenage’ Dladla, Johannes ‘Ryder’ Mofokeng, City Kole, Simon ‘Bull’ Lehoko, Jackie Masike, Joseph ‘Banks’ Setlhlodi, Lucky Stylianou and Samora Khulu to mention but few. With the doctorate that has been bestowed on him by the UCT, the Chiefs Chairman has now earned the title of Doctor.

Sedibeng Ster Sport  takes this opportunity to congratulate Kaizer Chiefs Chairman, Dr Kaizer Motaung for achieving this award. Kaizer Chiefs is one for the clubs that has for all the years believed in Sedibeng’s (formerly Vaal Triangle) players since the days of Lehoko with Sabelo Radebe, Siyabonga Ngezana, Kamohelo Mahlatsi and Lebohang Lesako being the latest Sedibeng generation to play for the successful club.
