Steel Company makes dreams true for young hockey players
MEYERTON.- Njabulo Nhlapo’s dream of participating in the Inter Provincial Tournament held in Cape Town came true after South Africa Steel Company in Meyerton donated R9 500 for him to attend.
MEYERTON.- This was revealed to Sedibeng Ster Sport by Melisa Nhlpao from Midvaal Hockey Development who was overwhelmed by the generous contribution of SA Steel Company Meyerton towards Nhlapo’s hockey tournament.
Nhlapo said that this amount will contribute towards covering the Inter Provincial tournament including the playing kit.
“It really came at the right time as we were behind with payments and on the verge of the boy being taken off the tournament as we couldn’t raise enough funds in time. SA Steel Company Meyerton’s quick response and support towards community development is applauded. When we spoke to Adela she mentioned SA Steel and how they take priority in youth development, and now they support initiatives which develop communities. We as Midvaal Hockey Development are thankful and greatful for this relationship, hopefully it brings us great partnership for the future,” said Nhlapo.
