Orlando Pirates is one foot in the final

Pirates are expected to reach the final.

SEDIBENG.- Orlando Pirates is set to play in the CAF Confederation Cup final after they beat Al Alhly Tripoli 2-0 in the first leg semi-final at Martyrs of February Stadium on Saturday. Pirates go into return leg with two goals advantage when these two meets at Orlando Stadium on Sunday.

As things stand, Orlando Pirates looks set to play in the final taking into consideration their fighting spirit away from home especially in front of home team supporters. There is no way Tripoli can come back with Orlando Pirates playing in front of their home supporters who are expected to fill the Orlando Stadium, to rally behind their club.

This will be dream a come true for Pirates to reach final to put their DStv Premier League’s disappointment behind them. Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs had a difficult season with Mamelodi Sundowns enjoying success by winning the DStv Premier League and now in the final of the Nedbank Cup. Orlando Pirates co-coach,Mandla Ncikazi was confident after the game, and he believes Pirates could have scored more goals on the day.
