Evaton Police embark on a crime awareness campaign
An awareness campaign was conducted at the malls (Evaton Mall, Palm Springs Mall and Spar Complex in Zone 3, Sebokeng.
EVATON.- The Evaton Saps members, Emfuleni Traffic, By-laws officers and the community patrollers conducted a crime awareness campaign intending to sensitize the community about crime within their policing areas.
Police Spokesperson Constable Thulisile Msibi said that the Evaton police are facing challenges of theft out of motor vehicle and theft from motor vehicle. An awareness campaign was conducted at the malls (Evaton Mall, Palm Springs Mall and Spar Complex in Zone 3, Sebokeng.
“During the campaign, the community was well engaged, and about 300 crime prevention pamphlets were issued to the community. Community engagement is essential as it serves as a major boost in crime prevention, by informing the police of any act of crime happening within the community,” said Msibi.
