What a fun-filled day for the young ones!

To make it funny, some of them ran even before the whistle rang and they would be stopped halfway while others would run in the opposite directions.

VANDERBIJLPARK.- It was a fun-filled day for children when the Bambanani Forum For Creches hosted athletics event for creches at Cecil Oridge Park in Vanderbijlpark recently.


This event saw creches from Sebokeng and Evaton battle for medals throughout the day and it was interesting to see the little boys and girls competing against each other. To make it funny, some of them ran even before the whistle rang and they would be stopped halfway while others would run in the opposite directions. However, this was the best day of their lives with medals on their necks especially the winners even though it was not about winning, but having fun.


CatNape Day Center from Zone 19 Ext 3 is one of the creches that has been participating in this event for the past ten years. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, the Creche owner, Catherine Radebe said that this event has been one of the best for the past ten years. She said the main aim of tfrom a very young age.


“We use these activities to development their muscles and encourage them to participate in activities from a very young age. We also want them to have fun while competing against each other because at their age it is not about winning. As CatNape Day Center we have been participating in this event for the past ten years and our children enjoy each and every moment of it,” said Radebe.
The day’s program ended with the presentation of the medals to the winners.
