Barrage CPF workshopped
Amongst the attendees were ward councilors, business people and Members of Emfuleni.
BARRAGE.- The Barrage CPF together with different stakeholders were workshopped by Dept of Community Safety Coordinator, James Kumalo about functions of CPF executive recently.
The CPF members were taught about the benefits of partnership with other departments. Police Spokesperson, Sergeant Nombulelo Mohlakoana said that the main aim was to help them to solve internal problems and how to reduce crime in their area.
“Mr Kumalo also outlined the responsibilities of Police officers when working together with CPF members, the difference between community patroller and neighborhood watch. After workshop they also drafted a year plan which will be followed by CPF when building relationship between community and police. Amongst the attendees were ward councilors, business people and Members of Emfuleni (Local Municipality).”
