Vaalie honored at ‘Academy Awards of Martial Arts’

MEYERTON. - Sensei Herman Kordom, 4th Degree Black Belt in Ju Jitsu, and Sport Development Officer at Midvaal Municipality, was recently inducted into the Action Martial Arts Magazine Hall of Honors.

He was the only South African who was invited to receive this prestigious award during the 21st celebration of the event in New Jersey, USA.
Sifu Allan Goldberg, President and Founder of the Action Martial Arts Mega Weekend and his board of Directors, selected and approved his induction to receive the Esteemed Modern-Day Warrior Award at the event. This is the most anticipated gathering of Martial Arts enthusiasts every year.
It is also the world’s largest assembly of martial arts super stars, film and combat celebrities and living legends from around the world.
It is coined as The Academy Awards of Martial Arts. Hollywood Actors/combat celebrities the likes of Cynthia Rothrock, Don “the Dragon” Wilson, Bill Wallace, Christine Bannon Rodrigues, Samuel Kwok, Kathy Long and Michael Jai White were present and shared some of the skills during the Master classes.
“I am very blessed and honoured to be amongst these legends. I am looking forward to host some of these stars later this year in South Africa,” said Kordom.
