SEDIBENG.- Stats SA will be conducting a population census from February 3 to February 28.
As the first ever digital census, Census 2022 will use digital devices to capture data in real-time for reduced turnaround time to release results as they outline the profile of the country’s population and its living conditions.
Three methods will be used to collect census data namely:
1) Face to face interview – Computer Assisted Personal interview (CAPI),
2) Online – Computer Assisted Web Interview (CAWI)
3) Telephonic – Computer Assisted Telephonic Interview (CATI).
Respondents must register and select the method they prefer to fill the census questionnaire.
Registration for households/institutions can be done on getcounted.statssa.gov.za.
Stats SA encourages respondents to register their households/institutions as soon as possible.
