Bophelong robbery suspects nabbed

VANDERBIJLPARK. - Police spokesperson Sergeant Gertrude Makhale reports that three robbery suspects were nabbed in the early hours of the morning in Bophelong.

The arrest was made by sector members and the Vanderbijlpark Task Team members who swiftly responded to a complaint of a Business Robbery in Bophelong Extension 6.

“On arrival, suspects were fleeing the scene. Members gave chase and managed to arrest an 18-year-old female suspect who led the police to her accomplices.

On further investigation by the Vanderbijlpark Task Team members they mmanage to trace two suspects aged 21 and 26 and arrest them.

“It is reported that during the arrest, the suspects took the Police to another scene where a victim alleged to be their accomplice in the Business Robbery was found laying in a pool of blood with stab wounds, he was later declared dead by the paramedics.”

Ssuspect are reported to have entered the tuckshop when the victims were busy watching a movie on their cell phone.

“Suspects managed to break a hole through the wall using concrete lintel. The suspects threatened the victims with a firearm seized the tuckshop cash, cigarettes, groceries, an airtime machine and a cell phone.

Suspects were arrested and charged with business robbery and murder.

The Station Commander Brigadier Hoaeane applauded the good work done by the members.
