Boipatong Stepfather kills two siblings

The motive behind the killings is unknown and forms part of the polices' investigations.

VANDERBIJLPARK.- The Boipatong police are on a manhunt for a 40-year-old stepfather who allegedly killed two siblings and attempted to murder two others in Boipatong near Vanderbijlpark on Monday.

Police Spokesperson, Sergeant Thembeka Maxambela said that the suspect, Mzingisi Mdiki, allegedly took four boys aged five to 11-years-old from his girlfriend’s sisters’ house on Monday.

“Following the information received by the police from a relative, the victims were collected at around 23:30 and he took them to his place in France Section, Boipatong.”

The suspect apparently tied up a 10-year-old victim and walked with him to a nearby veld, along the way the victim apparently fell to the ground and the suspect thought that he was dead. He left the victim on the ground and went back to collect the three other victims from his home. Upon his arrival with them at an open veld at nearby Delfos Boulevard, he apparently tied them on their necks to a tree.

Meanwhile the 10-year-old was helped by a passeby, who helped him go to the police station where they reported the matter. The 10-year-old took the police to the scene where upon their arrival with the police they found two boys aged 10 and 5-years-old dead, a 7-year-old boy was still alive. Police learned that the victims share one surname.

The motive behind the killings is unknown and forms part of the polices’ investigations.

The suspect is still at large
