Sedibeng Netball Team participates at the National Netball Championships

SEDIBENG.- The Sedibeng Netball Team is currently participating in the 2021 Spar U/21 and Senior National Netball Championships taking place in Cape Town. The netball championships started on Monday, 6 December, with the final matches scheduled to take place on Sunday, 11 December. 
Despite the challenge of sponsorships, the Sedibeng Netball Team has played in the tournament for all these years. The players and officials have had to put in a great deal of work to raise funds for accommodation and uniforms. Refiloe Mfene is one of the netballers who pleaded to Sedibeng Ster Sport for help and some ‘Good Samaritan’ managed to come to her rescue to raise funds. However, Mfene told Sedibeng Ster Sport that she was still short with R400, even though she managed to make it to the national championships.
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Mfene said she wanted to thank friends, relatives and the community of Sedibeng for their generosity. “I really want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their contribution, especially for making my dream come true.”
