VANDERBIJLPARK.- Andile Shabalala (24) will represent Sedibeng/Gauteng at the South African Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships scheduled to take place in Walter Sisulu Sports Hall in Randburg from October 1-3. This was after he finished second at the Provincial Bodybuilding Championships held at the same venue over the weekend. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Shabalala said he will go to the national championships well prepared. Shabalala told Sedibeng Ster Sport that he will be out to make a name for himself and be respected in South African Bodybuilding. “I was very impressed with my performance, and I believe this a great opportunity for me to make a name for myself at the National Championships. I am already hard at training in preparation for the IFBB South African Bodybuilding and Fitness Championship. This is the opportunity for me to launch my bodybuilding career at the biggest stage and to be recognised as one of the best bodybuilders in South Africa. I have no doubt that I’m going to make my presence felt because I’m motivated than before. This is the beginning of great things to come for my bodybuilding career,” said a confident Shabalala. Shabalala started his bodybuilding career after his talent was spotted by one of the coaches, Percy Mosala. He told Sedibeng Ster Sport that Shabalala is an enthusiastic young man who is well built physically. “Shabalala’s ambition is to compete internationally to conqueror the world of bodybuilding. No doubt, he is destined for a great future if his current performance is anything to go by especially after he produced a great performance at the Provincial Bodybuilding Tournament over the weekend.” Shabalala intends to launch his Fitness Foundation “to inspire young people to dream big”.
