Covid-19 hits Khawe

"The Provincial Secretary is now self-isolating and will take another test once his isolation period ends."

SEDIBENG. Former Emfuleni Local Municipality Executive Mayor, Jacob Khawe is self-isolating after testing positive for Covid-19 recently.
Bones Modise, ANC Gauteng Spokesperson said that Khawe, who is the current African National Congress Provincial Secretary will take another test once his isolation period ends.
Gauteng has been declared the epicentre of Covid-19 third wave with predictions that by October 2021, the Province stand a chance of being hit by 4th wave. The delta variant has shown that it is dangerous and, Modise said that there is a need all of us to take care.
“It is against this that ANC Gauteng would like to take this opportunity to inform its members and alliance partners that the Provincial Secretary Cde Jacob Khawe took COVID-19 test and it came positive. The Provincial Secretary is now self-isolating and will take another test once his isolation period ends. We urge everyone to take care and be safe as we all know that Covid-19 is real and the third wave is extremely dangerous.”
Modise reminded community members to continue taking great care and remember the basics of washing hands for 20 seconds with running water, sanitizing and keeping the 1,5 meter distance whilst wearing their masks covering both the mouth and nose.
“The most important basic is not going anywhere when you have no reason to. Stay home and be safe, avoid crowded places so that we minimize opportunities of contracting this virus.”
