‘Phallo ya madi’: A local movie about GBV and crime

SEBOKENG.- Philanthropist, Guitarist, Musician, Producer and Actor, Nkosiyam Yoko is all about youth development, the young man from Tshepong Phase 2 in Sebokeng is currently shooting a local movie that is about crime and Gender Based Violence (GBV). The movie is called ‘Phallo ya madi’. ‘Phallo ya madi’ is written by Yoko and Letona Ntobela, it is produced and edited by TRukid. “Well it’s about gender based violence and crime. With it we aim to empower youth and also stop drugs in local areas where the movie is being shot,” said Yoko. Yoko featured on the pages of this publication last year where he was providing the youth in his township with free musical instrument tutorials. “The lessons continue at no fee. We just want to nurture the black child’s talent and give them a sense of purpose.
