SEDIBENG. – Sedibeng Ster Sport has reliably informed that at the end of the season five teams will be relegated to the lower division from the ABC Motsepe League.
However, not all the teams are aware that five of the teams will be relegated to Super League at the end of the season.
Normally four teams are supposed to be relegated from Stream A and B at the end of the season. Blue Lions FC is set to be relegated from ABC Motsepe League making it five teams in total that will be relegated to the lower division. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, one of the SAFA Sedibeng SAB League team’s official who didn’t want his name to be mentioned said not all the teams are aware that at the end of the season five teams will be relegated.
“Look, I was told that five teams will be relegated at the end of the season because Blue Lions FC has been relegated to the lower division. The two teams that will finish 7th place on Stream A and B will play playoffs to decide which of the two will join the four teams that will automatically be relegated at the end of the season. I’m aware that not all the teams are aware that of this hence I raised this with you guys. It is in the interest of those teams who are not aware. I must say for the past two seasons we had serious challenges due to the COVID-19,” said the club official.
Meanwhile, VUT FC are certain to be crowned the league champions in Stream B after they played to a 1-1 draw against third place Vaal Milano FC in an entertaining SAFA Sedibeng SAB League match at Shakespeare Stadium in Vanderbijlpark over the weekend.
