Super League teams in 3rd league fixtures

“It is very pleasing to see the Super League have a great start, considering the plenty of work it took to get the league going again."

SEDIBENG.- It was action galore when the Emfuleni Local Football Association (ELFA) entered into their third games of the Super League season over the weekend.
The games took place at the various venues in Sedibeng. It was refreshing to see amateur football make its first appearance since March last year, when President Cyril Ramaphosa announced the strict national lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

It was noticeable that this season’s number of participating teams has increased compared to last season. This means that the league has to be divided into four streams namely: Sebokeng, Evaton, Vanderbijlpark and Boitshepivile.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, ELFA Administrator, Teboho Mphaga said that they are relieved that at last Super League has started. “It is very pleasing to see the Super League have a great start, considering the plenty of work it took to get the league going again. I’m very excited with the turn out and participation of all new and old teams. I hope it will be smooth sailing from here on. May Emfuleni football grow to greater heights,” said Mphaga who is the youngest administrator to run the affairs of the league to date.
