VEREENIGING.- The Diniso Kasi Arts aims to create jobs through art this year. Diniso Kasi Arts which started operating in the art and creative industry from 1990, is the management behind Diniso Arts Compex located in Hector Road in Bedworth Park, Vereeniging. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster recently, Diniso Kasi Arts’ Director, Iga-Makhulu Diniso said that they aim to create jobs by taking an artistic approach by assembling a team for a new theatre show that is on the way called ‘Diphaphi’. Diniso is an award-winning actor, director and a published playwright with more than 30 years’ experience in the arts industry and was appointed resident director with the Market Theatre, and was also included in the Financial Mail Annual publication ‘The Little Black Book’’, in 2007/08 and 2008/09 which is a guide to South African influential decision makers. Diniso said that what they are currently looking for is a team of 21 people that will include a cast of twelve performers (seven actresses and five actors) who are able to sing, dance and act, a crew of four, which will include a light operator, a sound technician, stage-prop manager, costume-makeup mistress, a staff of five which includes a marketer, a publicist, audience developer, fiancé box officer, hospitality and a tourism operator. “A creative graphic designer is also needed.
