Two hospitalised following collision in Three Rivers

THREE RIVERS.- A mother and her 14-year-old daughter were hospitalised this morning when a bakkie crashed into the side of their light motor vehicle at the Ring and Blackwood Intersection in Three Rivers.

According to ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring paramedics arrived on the scene to find a small bakkie and light motor vehicle in the middle of the intersection. A mother and her daughter were found walking around on the scene.

“Medics assessed the two and found that the mother had sustained a serious injury to her arm while her daughter sustained only minor injuries.

The patients were treated, and the mother provided with pain-relief medication before they were transported to Midvaal Hospital for further care.”

The driver of the bakkie, fortunately, escaped injury. Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
