Sky Sands has agreed to partner with us to clean up sand spillages in the Three Rivers area by sponsoring a work team for this purpose. This team, consisting of supervisor Jopie Erasmus and three workers, started working in Blackwood Street on 1 October, and will initially concentrate on the main truck routes through our suburb.
Sky Sands are also busy with interventions to reduce the amount of wet sand being loaded from their premises at Panfontein. We will be approaching sand hauliers using this route to contribute to our effort, and to commit to covering loads as required by road transport regulations.
