VEREENIGING. – The Continental Sports Academy hosted the ‘Exact Approach Coaching Workshop’ at the President Park Stadium in Vereeniging recently.
This unique coaching workshop was conducted by the former football great, Kenneth ‘Conti’ Kubheka, who encouraged the coaches in attendance to attend such workshops to learn more about the culture and technical matters of football.
Kubheka said that COVID-19 has had an impact in football and that this workshop would help coaches to sharpen their minds.
Kubheka also told Sedibeng Ster Sport that qualifications are not enough as people who are dealing with players don’t get an idea what they are dealing with.
“It is very important for people to enhance themselves and be sharper.
“If you stay behind you will lose a lot. We have lost a lot because of COVID-19, coaches don’t know the people they are dealing with.
“You can’t have football if you don’t have culture. Coaches must know the culture of the community they are dealing with.
“It not is easy to take sports and culture and put them together,” said Kubheka.
Kubheka said that there still space for coaches who will like to be part of the workshops that will take place again in November and December.
