SHARPEVILLE.-  If school were to open today as it had been the Basic Education Departments’ announcement, Mahareng Secondary School in Tshepiso Phase 4, Sharpeville, would have been one of the schools where it was not going to be business as usual.

The school has been left vandalized by criminals during the lockdown.

Sedibeng East Acting District Director, Pheello Metsing said, “Mahareng was badly vandalized by hooligans during lockdown. There are basically no toilets and electricity, the department is looking at providing (an) industrial generator and repair toilets for both educators and learners.”
