A voice told him to give bread to the poor

He heard a voice out of nowhere that said he must give bread to the needy.

SHARPEVILLE. – 35 -year-old Tsumi Tlhapane, from Sharpeville, has embarked on a charity drive to give poor community members from surrounding squatter camps bread for free.

Thlapane said that he was about to eat his breakfast when he heared a voice that said he must give bread to the poor.

Happy residents receive the bread from Tlhapane.

“I stood outside the gate watching as the recyclers went in action collecting recyclable materials from people’s houses, trying to put food on the table. This inspired me to start buying bread out of my own pocket and distribute it for free.”

The self-employed Tlhapane, first obtained the bread from a local bakery at a reasonable price and when he started knocking at the various bakeries they started to give him a discount.  Tlhapane uses his own transport to deliver the bread, from squatter camp to squatter camp, and tries at all times to apply the law of social distancing.
