The results mark the municipality’s 6th consecutive clean audit, since Executive Mayor Bongani Baloyi commenced his term of office, municipal spokesperson, Simon Ratlhagane said.
According to the statement released by MLM a clean audit refers to a financially unqualified opinion by the AG, indicating that each of the financial records provided by the municipality have no material findings or misrepresentations, and are in accordance with the law and regulations relating to spending on public funds.
Rathlangane emphasized that the clean audit is symbolic of the continued commitment of the municipality to render service effectively, efficiently and timeously to the residence of Midvaal. Executive Mayor Bongani Baloyi thanked all municipal staff for their commitment to ensuring good governance and maintaining the sustainability of the municipality.
