Mohaladitoe learner shines through to Province

SEBOKENG. – Grade eleven learner, Tshidiso Motlakeng (17), from Mohaladitoe High School in Zone 10 Extension 3, Sebokeng is aiming for the
top. Motlakeng won first prize, local and was first runner up (Provincial) during the Financial Service Council Authority (FSCA) Sedibeng West District 8 School Literacy Competition. Learners from six schools entering the competition had to choose one topic from three topics. Motlakeng
choose a topic that said, ‘Serving makes cents’, and he won first prize in the district and further went to represent the district at the Provincial
level.
“When my name was announced as the best in the district I knew that I had made it. I’ve always had a positive mind that my name and that of
the school will be written with bold letters,” said the ever smiling Motlakeng.

“He did not disappoint, and thanks to him we are on the map,” said Motlakeng’s mentor, Dimakatso Thoka, a business study educator at Mohaladitoe.
Motlakeng came second in the province, winning R15 000 cash for himself and the school respectively. He also took a gold trophy and a silver
trophy home for the two competitions.
There will also be a personal financial adviser for the young lad.
