SASOLBURG – The Victorious Girls Foundation donated a total of 150 dignity packs to grade 8 pupils at Cedar Secondary School in Zamdela on Tuesday. Each dignity pack comprised of sanitary towels, a toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, facecloth and deodorant.

“We want to bring back dignity to our girls because some of them don’t have these basic essential needs, which lowers their self-esteem and dignity,” said the foundation’s founder, Victorious Masoha.

The former Mrs South Africa 2018 semi-finalist is also aiming to donate a minimum of 1 500 dignity packs to all local high schools in Zamdela on the 18th of July as part of Mandela Day.

The Foundation is fully committed to assist young schoolgirls stay in school, as many are unable to attend classes due to lack of sanitary towels.

“Some of the girls skip school because they don’t have access to sanitary towels and it’s about 60 days of missed school days in a year. It’s a lot, so we are saying please donate so that we can make a difference to our girls because their education is being affected.”

With a strong passion for girls, Masoha established the foundation in 2017 to empower girls and bring positivity into their lives so that they “can truly fly and become the best”.
