Local businessman donates wheelchair to needy family

Meanwhile, Makhale said there is another wheelchair that he would like to donate to a needy person. He told Sedibeng Ster that the wheelchair was donated by one of the businessmen from Johannesburg after he saw his post on social media.

SEBOKENG. – Local businessman Lira Rantoa donated a wheelchair to 12-year-old Thulasizwe Radebe of Zone 7 after a plea from his family recently.

This was after the mother of the child, Lwu Radebe, approached Paul Makhale – a community activist – and asked him to help her get a new wheelchair for her child. Apparently the wheelchair the child used was broken – hence they asked for a new one.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Makhale said the mother of the child approached him to help her get the new wheelchair. Makhale approached several business people before he approached the Good Samaritan – in this case Lira Rantoa of Rantoa Group.

Makhale said Rantoa is one of the business people the community must support, taking into consideration his contribution to uplift the lives of those who can’t afford. “I want to thank Mr Rantoa for his selfless generosity towards the needy community. These are some of the people that we as a community must support because they then plough back into their community.

“When the mother of t he child approached me I didn’t know where to start from but the name of Mr Rantoa came immediately to mind and, as they say, the rest is history.”

The child’s mother said people like Lira Rantoa and Paul Makhale are very few in the community. “I must thank Ntate Makhale because, if it wasn’t for him, I don’t think I could have gotten help from Ntate Rantoa. I want to thank the two of them for buying my child a wheelchair because I couldn’t afford to buy one myself. Thank God for His miracles,” she told Sedibeng Ster.

Meanwhile, Makhale said there is another wheelchair that he would like to donate to a needy person. He told Sedibeng Ster that the wheelchair was donated by one of the businessmen from Johannesburg after he saw his post on social media.

Makhale can be contacted at this number: 071 854 7895.
