Business robbery suspects arrested with unlicenced fire arm

DE DEUR. – On Saturday January 19, at 08:30 there was a business robbery on the R82 in De Deur area at Lucky Seven shop.
According to W/O Martin Seaman from the Sedibeng Flying Squad – Communication, a blue Nissan Almera with four occupants robbed the shop. The members of Sedibeng flying Squad followed up on leads after the robbery and gathered information on where the suspects might be.
At 09:30 Sgt Sathilal, Sgt Machobane, Sgt Mareka, Sgt Mafaralala and CST Tshabalala went to Lakeside in Orange Farms where the suspect’s vehicle was spotted outside a house. When the members entered the house they found four suspects in the room busy dividing the stolen property amongst themselves. While searching the house they also found an unlicensed fire arm with the serial number filled off and seven live rounds of ammunition.
The four suspects was arrested and detained at Orange Farms SAPS for possession of unlicensed fire arm and stolen property. The suspects blue Nissan Almera was also seized for being used in the commission of an offence. The suspects will appear in the Vereeniging Magistrates court soon on charges of business robbery and possession of unlicensed fire arm and ammunition and possession of stolen property.
The members of the SAPS are dedicated to prevent crime and with the assistance of the public one more unlicensed fire arm was taken off the streets.
