GP: Fourteen people that include young adults and scholars have been hospitalised since Sunday after smoking an alleged unknown substance. Some they called it herbal blend, puff, blazing and crazy coconut.
These products it is alleged that they buy it over the counter at tobacco shops, tuck shops and adult shops then mix it with cigarette tobacco or roll their own smokes. The youngest child so far is 14 years old. It has been mainly in Pretoria West, Pretoria Gardens, Daspoort and Hercules. One of the school contacted police. The package of unknown substance is packaged inside a black small bag, the substance similar to marijuana. The young adults and scholars are in a stable condition in hospital. SAPS have urgently sent the substance to SAPS forensic lab for analysis. Police have opened an enquiry waiting for forensic result. Various government departments such as Health, Trade and Industry have been contacted to look into this matter.
Parents are urged that if they notice any suspicious package to remove it from kids and report to police. Parents are encouraged to speak to kids about the risks of using any type of drug or
