VANDERBIJLPARK. – Curro Holdings last week announced the appointment of Sharon Gordon as Executive Head at Curro Vanderbijlpark, effective from August 1.
As Executive Head at the school, Gordon believes that education should prepare and develop children for their future and not merely teach and facilitate to pass school. She maintains that education is one of the cornerstones of a successful individual, and a flourishing and prosperous community and greater society.
A passionate educator at heart, Ms Gordon comes to Curro from the Vesco Academy and Tjokkerland School where she held the position of Managing Director. She brings with her skills in the following arenas: financial, operational, facility and resource management, HR, sales and academics; and carries experience in lecturing and student support.
Ms Gordon has attained a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the North-West University and holds a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in Industrial Psychology, as well as a Post Graduate Certificate in Education. She is also a member of the Association for Counsellors in South Africa as well as the South African Council of Educators (SACE).
When out of the office, Gordon enjoys spending quality time with her family. She is a sports enthusiast and has a passion for dance, theatre and art.
