Tshepiso mother wonders why her son’s eyes were gouged out

SHARPEVILLE. –  The mother of 29-year-old Selebalo Isak  Mathaha, whose body was found last week next to a dumping site in Tshepiso Phase 4 is still wondering why his eyes were gouged out.

Selebalos’s body was discovered by people passing by in the early hours on Wednesday morning. His friends and family were alerted and subsequently rushed to the scene.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Mampeile  Mathaha said that she was still coming to terms with her son’s brutal murder.  “When I was informed that Selebalo had been stabbed, I rushed to the scene with the hope that we were going to rush him to hospital.  I never expected to find my son dead.

“But when I arrived at  the scene, I saw his lifeless body laying there. I knew that my son was never coming back.” Selebalo will be buried this week. Police are investigating the murder.
