Maureen Stewart from the pressure group Save the Vaal Environment informs Ster that a helicopter inspection yesterday confirmed that huge volumes of “solid pieces of sewage” ended up in the Vaal River and Loch Vaal. A huge volume of raw sewage was also noticed in the channel at the Vereeniging Sewerage works, the Klip River and the Loch.
