Bike accident on route R500

A motorbike rider, believed to be in his late 50’s, was killed after losing control of his bike on the R500 towards Parys this morning.
According to Annine Siddall, a spokesperson for ER24, paramedics of this ambulance service arrived at the scene at approximately 10:30 this morning and found the man lying ten to fifteen meters away from his bike, next to a game fence.
The man had sustained multiple fractures after crashing into the electric fence.
Unfortunately there was nothing paramedics could do to save the man and he was declared dead on the scene.
The exact circumstances surrounding this incident are not yet known, but are being investigated.
