Gogo murdered, left naked

“We could not say whether the deceased was raped then murdered before she was dumped in the furrow," say Police.

SHARPEVILLE. – The body of a half naked woman was found dumped in a deep furrow on the R55 behind George Thabe Stadium, Tshepiso South.

The police received a call from a passer-by about a body sprawling in the furrow. The police and the paramedics responded to the scene.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Makhale said Police first saw the half-naked body when they arrived on the scene. The body was left wearing only a top – a brown shirt.

“We could not say whether the deceased was raped and murdered before she was dumped in the furrow,” say Police.

The paramedic reported that the incident happened some 24 hours before the body was found. The eyewitness said the deceased, known as Margret of Tshepiso, was last seen pushing a trolley used to collect scrap metal like tins  Her trolley was seen pushed by two young boys toward the direction. Gum trees behind the stadium were pointed out.

The body had wounds to the head and upper body, said Makhale. The deceased is estimated to have been between 65 and 70 years old. Police appeal to members of the public who might have seen the incident to report or call the Boipatong Police Station.
