Man found murdered and dumped in a lake

A lifeless body of a man was found floating in a lake near Hartebeest Clinic in Lakeside Extension one.

LAKESIDE – Cops were called to the scene following the discovery of a man brutally murdered.

According to local authorities, the man had a wound on the left side of his head.

The deceased was dressed in a blue T-shirt and blue underwear without shoes.

When Ster reporters got to the scene, what is alleged to be the man’s jeans were thrown on the open field, meters away from the body and the scene of crime.

Dozens of bystanders gathered to look on, as the man was pulled from the stream and placed on the ground for examination and declaration by local authorities.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Police spokeswoman in the district, Constable Busisiwe Sango said they members were called to a scene following an alert by a member of the community.

“The police attended a murder crime scene at Lakeside next to a local clinic and upon arrival, the police found a body floating in a lake. The body had sustained a wound on the left side of it’s forehead,” she said.

“The deceased was wearing only a blue T-shirt and blue underwear. The deceased was identified at the scene by a family member. Suspect or suspects are unknown at this stage investigation continues,” she said.
