Brescia uses music to heal

Music acts like a magic key that opens even the most tightly locked hearts.

Brescia House School proudly hosted its second Our Voices Help Heal concert on March 29, to support the Teddy Bear Foundation.

Learners across the school used the power of their voices to entertain and delight the audience. The school’s talented marimba band added a special touch to the concert.

The marimba band adds a different touch to the concert.

Liz Norman, Head of Counselling and Community Outreach at the school said, “Brescia House School has a long-standing relationship with the Teddy Bear Foundation and we cannot thank them enough for the valuable work they do in terms of protecting and defending the rights of abused and vulnerable children.”

Norman explained that learners opened their hearts and raised their voices to help ensure that the Teddy Bear Foundation can continue providing services to abused children and their families.

“The girls’ voices are like a tonic to the soul and empowering too,” said Dalene Bishop, Teddy Bear Foundation donor liaison.
