Joburg, you voted. The results have been tallied and audited. And now, we at the Best of Joburg HQ are bursting with excitement as we announce the winners of the Best of Joburg Readers’ Choice Awards 2021. Whoop!
This marks the 25th year of the Best of Joburg competition … and to celebrate our silver anniversary, the theme of the awards is silver linings. With lockdowns and curfews and restrictions, it’s time we find reasons to celebrate. This is what the Best of Joburg competition is all about! It’s a chance for our readers to give a nod to the businesses, people and places they love to support in our northern suburbs by voting for them as the best in Joburg. And wow, our readers’ response was phenomenal!
Votes streamed in across the seven categories, and we’re so grateful for every single one of them – thank you, Joburg! And huge congratulations to the winners for stealing Joburgers’ hearts!

In the 25 years we’ve run this competition, one biz has come out on top every year… A massive well done to Exclusive Books (Best Bookstore) for being our first – and only – 25-year winner. It’s splendid to share our silver anniversary with you!
