Celebrating all the wins with his new single, Abangani Bami, is music producer Profound. Featuring Riky Rick, the song is set to put you in a good mood.
“The inspiration behind the song was us trying to celebrate the wins whether big or small in life because throughout lockdown the mindset a lot of people had was negative where they actually dwelled on their problems,” he said.
A Sandown resident, he said that he wanted to create a vibe of people celebrating themselves.
“I want people to remember to pat themselves on the back and to remember that the things they are doing are right. That they’ve worked hard and deserve to celebrate success,” he said.
Excited about the release, Profound said he is also anxious because of the nature of the hip-hop industry.
“I love the vibe and conditions allow for us to celebrate the song. Its dropping at the perfect time and everyone around me is giving me the energy I need to stay motivated. I am also anxious because collabs are often scrutinized way more. There has never been a song with these two artists so the fan comments will mean a lot,”
Having worked with other artists such as Manu WorldStar, Dee XCLSV, Tony X and Luna Florentino, Profound intends on exploring different avenues with his brand.
“I want to create kind of a blue print – a different way in which producers can approach the music industry. Establish new ways producers can live and function within the music economy.”
Building himself gradually, he believes in patience and gradual progression. A lover of the outdoors, we can look forward to seeing him on some nature hikes and, of course, producing more music in the future.
