Elvis and Friends show to kick off at Rivonia Barnyard Theatre

The Rivonia Barnyard Theatre will be hosting the Elvis and Friends show with more than 30 of Elvis Presley’s hits for one show only on 8 September.

The spectacular show will keep audience members on the edge of their seats with performer Shaky Russell’s array of custom-made costumes and energetic performance. With his vocal range and resemblance to Presley, Russell and a live 10-piece cast will perform some of Presley’s greatest hits.

Elvis Presley is considered one of the greatest singers and entertainers the world has ever known, and shook up the music industry for three decades before passing away in 1977 at the young age of 42. His death created a void in the hearts of music lovers the world over, and this tribute show aims to fill that gap by paying tribute to the legend that was Elvis – both the man and the performer.

The show captures the onstage excitement of Presley’s greatest performances and energetically reproduces hits spanning the 50s, 60s and 70s.

An Elvis award-winning performer, Russell previously wowed audiences in Memphis USA, home of the real Elvis. He is accompanied on stage by a group of professionals including a live band and cast.
