Entrepreneur launches inspirational memoir

BRYANSTON – Entrepreneur launches her first inspirational memoir at the Jenna Clifford Design Studio.

Having been born in the struggle and having parents who are anti-apartheid activists, it’s no surprise that Tshepiso Phosa is invested in making the world a better place. Phosa officially launched her book titled Fuelling Futures at Jenna Design Studio in Bryanston on 10 July.

The book is co-authored by Timothy Maurice Webster who has written four books on Personal Brand Influence. In the book, he investigates how Phosa is going about influencing the world around her, from tackling the fuel industry to fuelling the lives of thousands of orphans. “Tshepiso was adamant from the beginning that the book must be practical and not the type of self-absorbent book you read and stick on a shelf, left to collect dust,” said Webster. “This book will take you on a roller coaster of emotions. Inspiring you to rethink and re-imagine what’s possible in your future,” he continued.

27-year-old Phosa said that she hasn’t had an easy start in life but that did not deter her to look beyond her challenges and prosper.

“My mother was in prison while she was pregnant with me, at the age of six I was raped and at some point in my life I was depressed,” she said. “Many would think that being born in a prominent family, I shouldn’t even be having these problems. But, they were necessary for my journey.” Phosa concluded.

Her family joined her and gave her words of encouragement. “I have always encouraged my children to follow their dreams and to look beyond their challenges,” said Dr Mathews Phosa. “I am so proud of you and wish you nothing but the best. Keep on inspiring others and changing their lives, whenever you can,” he concluded.

Fuelling Futures is supported by Leadership 2020, who were the first people that Phosa reached for help. Nicolas Regisford, co-founder of Leadership 2020 said that they believed in Phosa and her contribution to the fuel industry. “We are all about empowering entrepreneurs, so Tshepiso’s story really deserved to be published because she’s doing extraordinary things,” he said.
