Local band, 4AM drops new EP, Nowhere Else

JOHANNESBURG – Local band, 4 AM releases their new EP titled Nowhere Else.

Local band, 4AM, recently released their fifth five-track EP titled Nowhere Else. The EP’s first single Red Sand (featuring Qadisi) is well recognised and playlisted on various radio stations. The animated music video for Red Sand will be out in two weeks.

The three-piece folk acoustic band was conceived in 2010. Their music has since gained recognition all over South Africa and they have never looked back since. Marc Wainstein, guitarist and lead singer of the band, said that the glue that stuck them together is their undying passion for what they do.

“We have a fantastic dynamic in 4AM. It’s like being in a band with your best friends.”

Nowhere Else is different from all the other projects because it accommodates everyone. “This EP has a mix of just about everything, It has songs that have an African feel to show our gratitude for this amazing country we live in,” said Wainstein.

“The EP is called Nowhere Else because even though this amazing country of ours has its challenges we wouldn’t want to be anywhere else”.

Wainstein highlighted the importance of collaborating with artists from different genres like they did with the Red Sand hit. “I think it broadens your songwriting and I think it gives the audience something that they have never heard from you before.”
