Take time to learn more about vegetarianism at lacto-vegetarian market

PARKMORE– Learn more about knowing how to make fun and delicious meals as a vegetarian.

 

As many people seem to think that a meal without meat is missing something, deputy committee member of events in Africa, Du Mann Ying said Nan Hua Temple is willingly hosting a lacto-vegetarian event to clear up the misconceptions about a vegetarian’s diet.

Nan Hua Temple will be hosting an event that is aimed at raising awareness among the public that animal loving and environmental friendliness should be made through conscious food choices.

“Our intention is to showcase how delicious vegetarian food can be and change the stigma around vegetarianism as being bland or boring. At the fair, there will be no charge for entrance and tasting all demonstrations of various national cuisines,”said Ying.

The event will be held on 3 June at Parkmore Cultural-Meditation Centre and it is a public invitation to those who wish to learn more about vegetarianism. The event will start at 10am and will take two hours.

“There will be organic vegetables on sale, a smoothie bar, coffee and Chinese tea as well as free tasters of many delicious of many delicious homemade dishes,” Ying added.

Nan Hua Temple is a non-profit organisation that hosts many annual charitable events and has made donations of winter clothing and hot lunches to schools’ feeding schemes, computers and wheelchairs, among others. On a weekly basis, the organisation supplies schools with vegetables to ensure that children at school have decent meals.
