Fun District launches at Sandton City

SANDTON – Sandton City hosted a parade to invite excited families to explore the new Fun District.

Sandton City launched its new Fun District on 21 April, a R90-million project designed to be the ultimate playground for children.

The launch began with a parade by the Jeppe Pipe Band and Disney characters at Nelson Mandela Square, which led excited children and their families to the new area, which includes the country’s largest Hamley’s Toy Shop, a children’s cinema and a slide going from one level down to another.

DJ Arch, the 2016 winner of South Africa’s Got Talent, entertained families while exploring the new area.
