Take your Valentine on a moonlight Valentine’s Day run at the Wanderers tonight
ILLOVO – Are you looking for something fun to do with the love of your life this Valentine's Day? Why not take a moonlight run through the Wanderers Golf Course.
If you’re looking to do something different with the love of your life this Valentine’s Day, why not take them on a moonlight Valentine’s run at the Wanderers Golf Club tonight.
Christopher Smith of the Wanderers Club said, “It’s a great evening activity for all levels of runners. Running on the golf course at night offers much excitement and there are some amazing prizes up for grabs.”
Runners are invited to come to the golf club dressed in red to join in the fun and excitement. There will be a 5km option for the chilled runner and a 10km course for the more daring athlete.
Athletes are encouraged to bring along headlamps to light up the course. There will be special prizes for grabs for the best-dressed runners and best-dressed couples. Runners can also look forward to ice cold refreshments at the finish.
The event is put together by GTC in association with the Wanderers Golf Club and the Wanderers Athletics Club.
Athletes can enter the event tonight from 5pm. Proceeds from the event will be put towards making the next run even bigger and better. Any excess funds will go to the Elite Athlete Programme and subsidise running members who may not be able to afford fees.
Details: The event costs R80 per person and begins at 6pm for 6.30pm at the Wanderers Golf Club.
