Bring in the Chinese New Year at Nan Hua Temple

BRONKHORSTSPRUIT – Celebrate the Chinese New Year.

 

According to Master Hsing Yun of the Nan Hua Temple based in Bronkhorstspruit, the temple will host many events and festivities for the upcoming Chinese New Year (year of the dog).

“During the Chinese New Year, Nan Hua Temple will host a series of traditional events that can be enjoyed by all South Africans. We extend an open invitation to everyone to join us in celebrating the Chinese New Year and to be part of a series of memorable events,” said Yun.

The Chinese cultural festival includes various different types of traditional Chinese, Cantonese and Taiwanese food, lantern activities and Chinese Zodiac painting, Chinese handicrafts and Buddhism-related displays.

Nan Hua meditation centre in Parkmore, Du Mann Ying says its celebration of Chinese New Year event hosts a plethora of cultural activities and entertainment, is the perfect opportunity to learn more about Chinese culture.

The festivities will also include performances by the Nan Hua Arts Group, Martial Arts professionals, Indian dancing groups and much more.

Yun noted that the festivities are grounded on goodwill towards our fellow man. “Loyalty and honour are most important in life. We must remain loyal and righteous towards people. We must stay loyal in our relationships, responsibilities, friendships and towards our leaders.

“We must show sensibility towards human relationships, remain righteous towards the world, have benevolence for society and sense our connection with the whole universe.”

Everyone is invited to experience the Chinese New Year festivities in Bronkhorstspruit.
