Community members are invited to celebrate the ‘good life’ at Montecasino’s Spirit of Spring Festival set to be held from 23 to 25 September.
With no more winter woollies and cozy fires, people can enjoy the last weekend of September by soaking up the sun with tasty cocktails while tasting freshly prepared meals made from local produce and listening to live music.
The festival is set to include plenty of exciting entertainment to keep the children busy and entertained while adults browse through the latest summer fashions and accessories showcased on the Piazza.
Community members can also attend a variety of spring-themed workshops or simply relax over sundowners and meals at one of the outdoor eateries.
The festival is a perfect opportunity to slow down and enjoy time with family and friends.
There will be designated childminders who will be available to look after the children and guide them through exciting activities such as hoola hoop competitions, dance competitions, shoot the hoop and tug of war, jumping castles, magic shows, ceramic painting, sand art, creative beading and mosaic work, pizza making, face painters, balloon sculptors and stilt walkers, star-gazing interactive edutainment and story-telling time at Skoobs.
Some of the exciting activities for adults on the weekend will include:
- TobieSax Jazz evening at Skoobs on 23 September at 7pm for 7.30pm
- Margaret Roberts’ book signing at Skoobs on 24 September from 12.30pm to 1.30pm
- Heritage High Tea at Skoobs on 24 September from 3pm to 5pm
- Poetry readings at Skoobs on 25 September from 2pm to 4pm
- Live performances on the Piazza from Watershed on 23 September from 6pm to 8pm
- Dawnay on 24 September from 1pm to 3pm
- Monark on 24 September from 8pm to 9pm, 25 September from 1pm to 2pm and again from 4pm to 5pm;
- A performance from Good Luck on 25 September from 2.30pm to 3.30pm
- Fashion show by JJ Schoeman on the Piazza on 25 September from 12pm to 12.30pm.
