Help catch female rapists

MELROSE – Police on the hunt for two female rape suspects

Bramley police officers are urging community members to assist them in the capture of two women who are accused of two rape and kidnapping incidents in Sandton.

This after a man was allegedly kidnapped and raped by two females in Sandton on 7 August.

Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, spokesperson for Bramley Police Station, explained that the victim, a Kew resident, had just got off a taxi along the Grayston Drive on-ramp when a Black BMW stopped next to him and one of the women allegedly asked him for directions.

“While he was busy giving them directions, one of the suspects allegedly pulled out a gun and pointed it at him, instructing him to get into the car,” Maphakela said.

“After he got in, the women drove off to a house in an unknown location, suspected to be Melrose, where they forced him to undress and then [allegedly] took turns raping him.”

After the ordeal, the two suspects then told him to get dressed and drove him back to Corlett Drive, where they left him.

Maphakela confirmed that the victim opened a case of rape and kidnapping at Bramley Police Station.

“The victim is able to identify the two women and we are appealing to residents to help us catch these [them] as this is the second time such an incident has taken place within the cluster in the last three years,” he said.
