Women from local communities who make a difference in society were honored at L’Opulence in Sandton City on 6 August.
The women were treated to GHMumm champagne, L’Opulence tapas and a presentation from entrepreneur and feminine sanitation advocate, Olwethu Njoloza-Leshabane.
Njoloza-Leshabane said, “As a female entrepreneur, feminine sanitation advocate and Mrs SA Finalist, I feel my calling is to bring women to a single realisation that will create a ripple of other realisations: We don’t have a choice but to succeed and make it all work. If one fails, we all fail.”

Leshabane went on to quote Clare Boothe Luce, an American author and politician, when she said, “Because I am a woman, I must make unusual efforts to succeed. If I fail, no one will say, ‘She doesn’t have what it takes’. They will say, ‘Women don’t have what it takes’.”
