SA makes BET history
JOBURG – South African DJ makes history at the 2016 BET Awards.
South Africa’s own local music icon recently made history!
It was a weekend filled with glitz and glamour as a number of South African and fellow African musicians made their way to Los Angeles for the 2016 BET Awards.
In the best international act: Africa category, it was AKA, Wizkid, Black Coffee, Diamond Platnumz, Cassper Nyovest, MZVEE, Yemi Alade and Serge Beynaud who competed for the title.
For the first time since the inaugural BET Awards in 2001, Black Coffee did what no other South African has been able to; he became the first South African to win in the category.
Since receiving his award, social media has been buzzing with the news and his fans just can’t get enough.
