Silent Disco Rooftop Party at Randlords’

JOBURG - It's time to have some fun, but remember to turn down the sound – we're keeping it hushed at the Silent Disco Rooftop Party.

Randlords’ rooftop venue is known for it’s beautiful scenery, killer parties and killer sound under the Johannesburg night sky, but now they’re hosting a party of a different kind.

The Silent Disco Rooftop Party set for 6 February will be the first of its kind held at the popular venue.

You may be wondering how a silent disco works, but wonder no more because we’ve got the information for you – and City Buzz is sure that once you know how it works, you’ll be racing to get your tickets.

The idea of a silent party allows the crowd to personalise their experience. All those in attendance at the party will receive a pair of headphones that are tuned into three colour-coded channels and, therefore, allows others to identify which channel you’re listening to by the colour displayed on the headphone set.

Each channel is a dedicated to a specific genre, all of which are controlled by three separate DJ booths with the best DJs in the business spinning on the decks.

This means that while you are listening to music on your headphones, the room will in actual fact be silent – apart from what noise may come from patrons busting a move on the dance floor.

What makes the experience even more personalised is that the three genres that are played on the night are voted for by the public and, to date, deep house, hip-hop and trance are in the lead.

The line-up of DJs will be announced once the genres are finalised, but there is really no reason to miss out on this one-of-a-kind event in Braamfontein.
