Entertainment taken to the next level

JOBURG - Heineken, the beer brewing company that celebrates 151 years in the industry this year, will launch their new beer can by opening a pop-up bar in the heart of Baamfontein this December.

How do you launch a new can in style? With latest campaing #OpenNextLevel, that’s how.

The can in question is the new 330ml Cool Can.

The company is creating a limited-time pop-up bar called the Next Level Bar.

They’re keeping it green by constructing it using old shipping crates, and they’re creating jobs by sourcing local manufacturers of furniture and art to fill the space – what could be better than empowering and employing the people of the country?

The bar, which will only be open between 2 and 12 December, will be a venue not only to buy drinks but also to host some of the hottest acts in the South African music industry.

In addition, it will serve as a creative workspace and a networking venue for young creatives to collaborate and share ideas during the day, before turning into a nightlife hub in the evening.

There will be innovative entertainment available at the Next Level Bar, and this will include an artificially intelligent playlist.

A number of creatives will take over the bar each day, during which they will showcase their work to visitors and get those who attend inspired.

Creative and artistic activations will also take place at the bar.

This means visitors will see special video screenings and get the chance to have their portraits painted by two of Joburg’s top 30-second portrait artists.

It’s set to be 10 days of creativity and fun.

The location of the bar is still to be announced, so keep your eyes on City Buzz for more information.
